The court in Assen had insufficient time yesterday to deal with the case about the drug lab on the Boslaan in Emmen. Due to the wrong schedule, too little time had been set aside for this.
The case was largely dealt with in terms of content but demolished at the time the public prosecutor would formulate the punishment requirement. The court decided to stop because otherwise there would be no time left for the criminal cases that were planned in the afternoon.
“I put on the fine,” said the chairman of the court. “I estimated this wrong.” It does not often happen that a case must be postponed for that reason.
Two men aged 33 and 36 from Emmen appeared in the court in Assen. A 37-year-old Polish fellow suspect is without a trace. His chair remained empty. His lawyer also did not appear. Until recently, the Pool was stuck for another crime in Nijmegen. He was released on conditions, but then Spoerslags disappeared.
The drug lab in Emmen came to light through that case in Nijmegen. The Polish man shot at the home of his ex-wife in Nijmegen at the beginning of July last year. He then took the legs. To find out where he stayed, the police decided to tap his phone. The officers found out that the Pole was staying in a hotel in Emmen. There would also be conversations about a drug lab in Emmen.
The fugitive man would also stay there. Because the man was searched for a shooting was pulled out with large equipment, it turned out during the criminal case. A strong ammonia air hung in the shed. So strong that everyone ran outside, gained a mask and went inside again. A kettle was simmering in a second room.
The Pole was sleeping in a room behind it. The man stayed there. He had been removed from the hotel a few days earlier. This could be seen on the camera images of that hotel. The owner of the shed handed over the camera images that were made around the shed. The owner rented the warehouse to a man from Emmen via a broker. He knew nothing about the drug lab, but had had a ‘non-fluff feeling’ for a while.
According to the police investigation, amphetamine was widely produced. The two people from Emmen said on Tuesday they had no role in the drug lab. The 33-year-old Emmenaar appears several times on the camera images of the shed. He seems to bring things with a van or in his mother’s car. “I brought groceries for the pool,” the man said.
He had also stored tools in the front part of the shed. He never came to another part of the shed. As a result, he could not know that there was a drug lab in the shed, the man said. The police say they can link some numbers to the two people from Emmen in the tap conversations. The oldest would have arranged things and instructed the co -suspect to get and bring it.
According to the view of the police, the Polish man stays in the shed as a cook. He orders what he needs from the oldest Emmenaar. He does not want to be seen at the shed and arranges that the youngest suspect brings and picks up the goods. In the home of the oldest Emmenaar, the agents found a forbidden weapon and illegal fireworks. Both men have a criminal record.
It is not known when the drug lab case will continue.
