Criminal HP (56) had already been on the run since he was sentenced in Estonia in 2018 to almost seven years in prison for drug trafficking. It was then proven that he had been responsible for large-scale imports of hashish since 2014. The drugs were smuggled in vehicles from Spain to Estonia and several Scandinavian countries.
The Spanish police had received a tip in September that the suspect would be hiding in Alicante. During the investigation it turned out that the man had already been arrested for other offenses, under a different identity, but had also been released again. Since then, he did everything he could to stay under the radar.
The police then closely monitored several people in the vicinity of the suspect. Thus they managed to locate his beloved in the town of El Albir on the Costa Blanca. Last Wednesday, the suspect was arrested in Calpe.
