Drug action by police and FIOD on caravan camps in Eindhoven

1/5 The police, the FIOD and the Tax and Customs Administration started a major drug investigation early on Monday.

The police are conducting a major drug investigation at at least three caravan camps in Eindhoven. Also in dozens of other places in Brabant and beyond, agents have been looking for drugs since early Monday morning. A number of people have since been arrested, a police spokesman confirmed. It is unknown if any items were seized.

The three camps where the police are massively present are located on Heezerweg, Castiliëlaan and Brestlaan. A forest area on the Heezerweg is closed to the public and media because of the action.

The police are collaborating with the Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD) and the Tax and Customs Administration for the campaign. Detection dogs are also used.
