On the N381 near Eursinge, a fire started in a car tonight. The driver smelled that something was wrong and put the vehicle aside. She could escape the flames on time.
The car fire quickly expanded, so that little has been left of the car. The fire brigade eventually extinguished the fire. A recovery company has taken the car wreck.
The N381 was closed between Beilen and Westerbork just after 1 am. Later the road was released again.
