On the Eemslandweg in Zwartemeer, a car and a scheduled bus collided. The driver of the car was trapped in the car and had to be freed by the fire brigade.
The driver was taken to the hospital with an ambulance. The other occupant of the car was also injured and had to go to the hospital. The bus driver was checked by ambulance personnel on site, but did not have to come along. Passengers on the bus remained unharmed.
It is not clear how the accident could happen. The Eemslandweg was closed for some time due to the accident.
