A car crashed into the facade of an empty building at the Kerkplaats in Wommelgem on Thursday afternoon. The 74 driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and had to surrender his driver’s license immediately. Miraculously, he was not injured. However, the fire brigade had to be called out to help shore up the building due to the risk of collapse.
