It doesn’t sit well with many people that Glennis Grace recently sat on the panel of Ranking the Stars and laughed at jokes about her outburst of violence in the Jumbo. She also joked that she, of all people, knows very well how much a lawyer charges. Insensitive and just not fun, Angela de Jong judged.

Just pay attention

Dries Roelvink also thinks it is highly unwise of Glennis. He thinks that the singer should have made strict agreements with presenter Paul de Leeuw and the makers of the show.

The folk singer says as part of it Story-prominent panel: “When she decided to sit there, she should have been careful not to make too many jokes about the Jumbo affair. She could also have agreed this in advance with presenter Paul de Leeuw.”

‘Not necessary’

Ronnie Tober, the hit singer known for Rozen voor Sandra, is also on that panel and also expresses strong criticism of Glennis. “No. I wouldn’t have done it. I’ve been asked to do it a few times and I don’t do it. Everything is said in a joke, but there is always an undertone.”

He concludes: “If I were Glennis, and I think she is a great singer, I would have chosen a more positive program. She doesn’t need this.”
