Drenthe was the first province to have all votes counted, PVV the largest in eleven municipalities

In the largest municipality of Drenthe, the party of party leader Geert Wilders received 36.5 percent of the votes. This means that the percentage has doubled compared to the previous parliamentary elections. Even then, the PVV became the largest in this municipality. NSC ends up as the second party. 16.8 percent of the people of Emmen voted for the party of party leader Pieter Omtzigt. GroenLinks-PvdA comes in third place. In 2021, this party received 11.7 percent of the votes, compared to 1.1 percent less in the current elections.

In the provincial capital, the PVV won 20.9 percent of the votes. GroenLinks-PvdA occupies second place with 17.8 percent. This increased compared to 2021. The third largest party is NSC. That party received 16.3 percent of the votes. D66 has had to make significant concessions. In 2021, this party came second with 15.5 percent of the votes, in the current elections D66 received 5.6 percent of the votes.

Aa en Hunze was the first municipality in Drenthe to count all votes. The party of PVV party leader Geert Wilders received 19.4 percent of the votes. Groenlinks-PvdA emerged as the second party with 18 percent of the votes. VVD goes from 24.9 to 16.2 percent.

The number of votes for the PVV in De Wolden has more than doubled. The PVV went from 10.4 percent to 23.1 percent of the votes. The BBB follows next, with 16.1 percent of the votes. Although the VVD has made significant concessions, this party is the third party in this municipality. The VVD received 15.3 percent of the votes.

The PVV also received the most votes in Meppel. At 22.3 percent, the number of voters has more than doubled. In the previous elections for the House of Representatives, Wilders’ party had 9.7 percent. This time NSC is number two in Meppel with 16.1 percent, GroenLinks-PvdA is number three with 14.4 percent.

In Westerveld, the PVV is the largest party with 19.9 percent of the votes. That is an increase of 10.7 percent compared to the previous elections for the House of Representatives. The second party in Westerveld is GroenLinks-PvdA (16.7 percent). The VVD and BBB both arrive at 14.0 percent.

The PVV received 27.8 percent of the votes in Borger-Odoorn. That number has almost doubled compared to the national elections in 2021, when it was still 14 percent. NSC comes in second place with 16.9 percent of the votes. The VVD went from 20.8 percent to 12.6 percent of the votes.

In Central Drenthe, the PVV has become the largest party with 23.8 percent of the votes. In the previous elections the PVV scored 10.4 percent. NSC is number two in Central Drenthe (15.9 percent), the BBB comes in third place (14.9 percent).

In Tynaarlo, GroenLinks-PvdA has become the largest party with 22.3 percent of the votes. In the last House of Representatives elections, the party of party leader Frans Timmermans received 15.5 percent of the votes. The VVD comes in second place, going from 23 percent to 16.2 percent of the votes. In Tynaarlo, the PVV occupies third place with 15.7 percent of the votes.

In Hoogeveen, the PVV received 32 percent of the votes, making it the largest in this municipality. That percentage has almost doubled compared to 2021. NSC comes in second place with 16.5 percent of the votes. The VVD surrendered and went from 17.1 percent to 9.5 percent of the votes.

The PVV has become the largest in Noordenveld with 20.2 percent of the votes. GroenLinks-PvdA follows closely behind (19.2 percent). NSC finishes in third place with 15.8 percent of the votes.

In Coevorden, the PVV became the largest with 28.8 percent of the votes. NSC is the second largest party (16.6 percent of the votes). VVD finished in third place and, with 13.4 percent, received almost half as many votes as in 2021.
