According to Uli Hoeneß’s statements, the Bayern bosses speak up. President and CEO try to smooth the waves.
According to the recent statements by Uli Hoeneß on sports director Max Eberl, the management of FC Bayern has been publicly positioned. CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen and President Herbert Hainer commented on a reception by the German record champions in the Bavarian State Chancellery-and strengthened the honorary president.
Dreesen defended Hoeneß ‘statements and said: “It is quite legitimate to discuss controversy. Uli Hoeneß said nothing else. And I think that’s the most normal in the world.” In his view, an open discussion is part of the self -image of FC Bayern. “If everyone always sings the same in the choir, it will be boring,” Dreesen continues.
At the same time, it is important to have discussions within the club and “have a common result,” said Dressen. “And in the end it depends on the result.”
President Herbert Hainer was also unimpressed by the public debate about Hoeneß. “You always have to leave the church in the village. Every word is put on the gold scale. The Uli says what he thinks.” The words are “always in the interests of FC Bayern Munich. He wants the best for FC Bayern”.
You work internally, he added very well together. We made all the decisions together. And to get back to the transfer summer: there is no Max-Eberl transfer or Christoph-Freund-Freund-Transfer or whoever. This is FC Bayern. We have approved every transfer on the supervisory board.
Meanwhile, Eberl kept in the background at the Markus-Söder ceremony for the master teams of men and women at Bayern, the 51-year-old did not speak publicly. Most recently, there had even been rumors that he could possibly step down frustrated after the recent hustle and bustle. This speculation was immediately and decisively denied by Bayern.
