SSC Naples or Inter Milan? The decision in the Italian football championship is only made on the last matchday – and on Friday.
Because Inter achieved the final of the Champions League, the Italian league terminated the final season games of the two leading clubs for two days earlier than originally planned. The kick -off of the games of Naples (against Cagliari) and Milan (at promoted Como) is at 8:45 p.m.
The background to the unusual measure is an Italian special rule from 2022, after two teams, after the last matchday, play a decision-making game for the series A championship.
At the moment Naples leads the league with 79 points and a point ahead of defending champion Inter. In the event of the coming Monday, five days before the royal class final, a possible decision-making game will be held.
