GERMANY: – SLIGHT LOSSES – The situation on the world stock markets remains characterized by uncertainty. Renewed weakness in the global tech sector and mutual attacks in the Iran war are likely to deter investors from taking new risks ahead of US consumer price data. The broker IG valued the DAX 0.1 percent lower at 24,410 points on Wednesday two hours before the Xetra launch. The evening before, according to Commerzbank, the valuations of AI profiteers were further questioned in New York ahead of several mega IPOs. This was also evident in Asia with renewed price losses. The fact that the USA and Iran have attacked each other again despite a ceasefire and ongoing negotiations also creates uncertainty.
USA: – ONLY DOW SLIGHTLY PLUS – Another bout of weakness in semiconductor stocks put the US technology exchange Nasdaq under pressure on Tuesday. Market experts identified the upcoming record IPOs as the reason for the price losses. With a loss of 1.12 percent to 29,084.50 points, the NASDAQ 100 selection index closed well above its daily low. The leading index Dow Jones Industrial ultimately rose by 0.17 percent.
ASIA: – LOSSES – The tech weakness on the US stock markets has also weighed on sentiment in Asia. Mutual attacks in the Iran war as well as US consumer price data expected later in the day also caused investors to be cautious. The US military has launched its attacks on targets in Iran
now finished. The Japanese leading index Nikkei 225 recently lost 2.2 percent after gains the previous day. The CSI 300 index (CSI 300) with the 300 most important stocks on China’s mainland stock exchanges fell by around one percent, while the Hang Seng Index (Hang Seng) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region fell by 1.1 percent.
