Kiev (dpa -AfX) – Russian attackers and Ukrainian defenders have again fought serious fights along the front in the east of Ukraine during the day. As the general staff in Kiev announced on Facebook, a total of 122 Russian attacks were reported by various sections, some of which were also supported by artillery and the Russian Air Force. The focus of the Russian attacks was once again at Pokrowsk. There, Russian units had made 36 attacks from different shotgings, the military said.
The city of Pokrowsk is located in the west of the eastern Ukrainian Donetsk region at a strategically important traffic junction.
