The police carried out the inspection with the IJmond Environment Agency, the Human Environment & Transport Inspectorate and the Customs and Tax Authorities. During the inspection, it was checked whether the documents were correct.
In addition, it was checked whether the load, driving and rest times, the transport of waste and the condition of the vehicle were in order.
Most fines have been issued for a loose load or a load that is too heavy. Furthermore, one case was filed for a violation of transport of dangerous substances.
Dumping during inspection
During the inspection, it was once seen that waste was being dumped in the vicinity of the Parallelweg. These persons were immediately checked by the police. The dumping is being investigated by the police, together with the IJmond Environment Agency.
Several vehicles were taken off the road during the inspection. Ultimately, four vehicles were seized and five vehicles were confiscated. After the major audit, the Tax Authorities collected 33,350 euros in outstanding tax debts.
