On the military domain in Poelkapelle, DOVO resumes the destruction of old war ammunition. During the autumn and winter months, these activities come to a standstill because the wet weather makes the site difficult to access.
“This mainly has to do with the weather conditions. The region is a clay region and it rains a lot. Then the soil is not ideal for working with the digging equipment on the square,” says Kim Claerhout of DOVO. “We will start work in April and run until October, weather permitting, about six months.”
