Mannheim’s dominance under the hall roof: The MHC secured the double title at the Hockey Final Four on Sunday.
First, the women beat Düsseldorfer HC 4:3 after a penalty shootout, then the men crowned the perfect weekend for the club in a city duel with TSV Mannheim (7:5 nP).
The women of Mannheimer HC prevented the Düsseldorf women from scoring a championship hat trick at the tournament in Frankfurt am Main. Nadine Kanler secured her first indoor title since 2016. In the semi-finals, the MHC defeated UHC Hamburg 5-3.
The men’s tournament was hard to beat in terms of drama. The MHC secured the title with two shootout victories – first against Harvestehuder THC, then against TSV Mannheim. Jan-Philipp Fischer and Marius Leser became the match winners in the final.
