Double job for ex-managing director Harald Gärtner

Harald Gärtner, former managing director of the current third division soccer team FC Ingolstadt, has found a new job and will now be taking care of the affairs of two clubs at the same time.

The 55-year-old is taking over the management of the European business at Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) from Major League Soccer and in this role will support the new “strategic partner” Grasshopper Zurich “for the rest of the season,” like the traditional Swiss club announced.

Gärtner described his involvement with LAFC to the Donaukurier as a “very attractive task for me and a great challenge”. He worked for FC Ingolstadt from 2007 to 2019 and was temporarily represented with the club in the Bundesliga (2015 to 2017).

Gärtner is supposed to develop markets in Europe for LAFC, which is the new majority shareholder of Grasshopper Fußball AG.
