Double establishment of World Club Ajax because Amsterdammers could not comply with the rules

On Tuesday 125 years ago, Ajax football club was founded. It could not be more in the heart of Amsterdam, when a second attempt was made in the Café Oost-India in the Kalverstraat near Dam Square. Because what few know is that in 1894, six years earlier, three friends already showed the Footh-Ball Club Ajax. But they could not meet the rules and saw their plan for a capital football club go up in smoke.
