Dortmund makes an offer of 33 million euros for Ajax striker Haller | NOW

Ajax seems to soon lose Sébastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga club would have made an offer of 33 million euros for the striker, report The TelegraphVI and BILD

According to the German newspaper BILD Negotiations between the two clubs are still ongoing. The transfer fee can reportedly rise to 38 million euros due to bonuses. Ajax can also count on a resale percentage.

Haller, 27, was taken over from West Ham United in January last year for 22.5 million euros. This made him the most expensive Eredivisie player of all time. With the Ivorian international at the forefront, Ajax crowned itself champion, although his first months in Amsterdam were marred by an administrative blunder, as a result of which he was not registered in the Europa League.

This season Haller had his big breakthrough at Ajax: he was crowned the top scorer of the Champions League with eleven goals. He scored two of those eleven goals in the group stage against Borussia Dortmund. He also had an important part in the 36th national title of the team from Amsterdam with 21 league goals.

Sale clears the way for Bergwijn

The likely sale of Haller clears the way for the arrival of Steven Bergwijn at Ajax. The club has been working on attracting the attacker for several months, who has impressed the Dutch national team in recent weeks. His club Tottenham Hotspur uses an asking price of 25 million euros, according to Dutch and English media.

Ajax has not yet committed any new players for the coming season, in which Alfred Schreuder will take over from Erik ten Hag. The reigning champion, on the other hand, saw bass players Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch move to Bayern Munich.

In addition, substitutes Danilo (Feyenoord), Przemyslaw Tyton (FC Twente), Zakaria Labyad and André Onana leave Amsterdam on a free transfer. Ajax will start preparing for the new season next Wednesday.
