Don’t want to sit on the couch and knit

At 50, Heidi Klum is full of ideas. After her new song, the supermodel doesn’t want to slow down – and doesn’t want to lead a domestic life.

After an eventful life between catwalks, TV shows and motherhood, Heidi Klum doesn’t want to take things slow at the age of 50. On the contrary: “I feel like I’m finally experiencing the days that most people experience when they’re younger,” the German supermodel told the Italian newspaper ‘Corriere della Sera’ (Sunday). She started modeling early and still had her children between castings and performances. “I was very busy in my 30s. I mean, I worked and was a mother!” said Klum.

The presenter and entrepreneur continued that her current lifestyle also has a lot to do with her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz (34). “I’m 50 and Tom is 34, but I don’t feel like I should sit on the couch and knit yet.” She feels very alive. Hence her new music project: About a week ago she released her song ‘Sunglasses At Night’ together with the Dutch DJ star Tiësto, which will also be the title song of the upcoming season of ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’.

In addition to her many other projects and commitments, Klum says she enjoys going out and dancing a lot. Age doesn’t matter to her. “Going out and having fun should be ageless, we can do whatever we want.” As a young model, she had many different passions – but always felt like she had to choose one. She now wants to make up for that in addition to dancing and having fun with her new song. (dpa)
