Donny Roelvink confirms that he has blown up the soap series De Roelvinkjes, because he didn’t feel like it anymore. “That became a problem for the rest. They only wanted to go through all the way.”
There will be a new season of the Roelvinkjes this summer, but have we not seen everything so slowly? Yes, actually, even Donny Roelvink thinks. That is why he wanted to stop it, he admits in the Party. Yet he tacked again and that is mainly due to the rest of his family.
One thing
Donny says he seriously doubted. “That was certainly a thing. I once indicated that I actually didn’t like it anymore. That was mainly because I was wondering what to show or tell this time. Where we are, everyone knows that by now.”
He continues: “I also got tired of self -glorification. We have also played series with certain subjects or goals, such as ‘fitting on the store’ and ‘not to make a cent’. With the latter we also did something with the food bank; that added value appeals to me more.”
Superstar
It is more fun for Donny if it really is about something. “To want to hang the superstar again, I saw little in that, so I had actually said ‘no’. That was a problem for the rest, because they had something like that: if we do it, we all do it.”
He concludes: “Then we started brainstorming about how we want to visualize it and I started to weigh the pros and cons. Ultimately, the deciding factor that I really enjoyed doing something with the family and that we still have beautiful images of it years later.”
