Nike got free advertising.

Last weekend, the United States attacked Venezuela, and special forces captured the country’s ruler Nicolás Maduro along with it.

US President Donald Trump was happy about it and shared a photo of Maduro on the Truth Social service. The picture had special consequences.

Many paid attention to Maduro’s clothing. The surprised Venezuelan leader was wearing a gray Nike tracksuit. Among other things, Business Insider reported on Monday that the Maduro image is a free advertisement for Nike.

According to TMZ, among other things, the Nike Tech tracksuit in question has been sold out in several sports stores in the United States after the picture was published. The price of the fleece outfit is 140 dollars in Nike’s online store.

Also Google Trends analytics looks like the Nike Tech kit has been searched for many times more than usual in the past few days.

Did the picture even have a direct effect on the stock market? There is no exact fact about the matter, but after the weekend, Nike’s price jumped three dollars higher when the stock market opened on Monday.

The Norwegian national team also uses it

Nike Tech has been popular among soccer teams even before the Maduro image. Among other things, the Spanish La Liga club RCD Mallorca uses the said Nike tracksuit collection.

Soccer website Goal noted the matter on Monday.

In Norway, however, an interesting coincidence was noticed. The Norwegian national football team’s official tracksuits for this season are exactly the same collection as the tracksuits worn by Maduro. The matter was pointed out, among other things Nettavinen.

The tracksuits of Norwegian football players recently became a topic of conversation in the country. In the World Cup qualifiers, the Norwegians arrived in Milan, known as the fashion capital, in gray tracksuits.

The difference in style from the Italian national team, which had stuck to tight suits, was striking.
