Earlier this month, the White House already reported that an agreement had been concluded about the sale of Tiktok’s activities in the US by the Chinese parent company Bytedance. That part would largely come into the hands of American investors, including SoftwareConernbern Oracle and Silver Lake.
‘Continue to protect privacy’
In the deal, the American branch of Tiktok is appreciated at around $ 14 billion, vice president JD Vance said on Thursday. “There was some resistance from the Chinese side, but the most important thing we wanted to achieve is that Tiktok could continue to function, but we also wanted to make sure that we protect the privacy of American data as prescribed by law,” he explained further.

Trump has 15 million followers on his personal account. The White House also launched an official Tiktok account last month.
