NHL legend Dominik Hasek has once again taken a stand on Russian NHL players on Twitter.

Hasek, 57, began his thread on Twitter, saying he wanted to ban Russian players from playing in the NHL.

– Because when you play on the ice, you are promoting your country and its acts of war against the sovereign democratic country of Ukraine and its people, to whom you are causing terrible suffering.

Hasek then asked Russian players to show that they are not indifferent to the killing of hundreds and thousands of people by Russian soldiers in Ukraine.

– You could officially donate every dollar of your contract for humanitarian aid to the people of Ukraine. Do it from the day the Russian army invaded Ukraine. This, after all, would alleviate even a little the suffering of Ukrainian children, women and men, Hasek concluded.

Hasek has previously taken a strong stance on the position of Russian players in the NHL.

At the end of February, Russia expanded its invasion of Ukraine and launched a full-scale offensive war. At that time from the captain of the Washington Capitals From Alexander Ovetshkin was asked if he supported Vladimir Putinia.

Ovetshkin also said Putin was his president and stressed that he is not a politician but an athlete. He also hoped everything would end soon.

Hasek was then offended by the words of the Russian star and barked at Ovetshkin.

– What !? Not just a commentator and a coward but also a liar! Every adult in Europe knows full well that Putin is a crazy killer and that Russia is waging an offensive war against a free country and its people, Hasek commented on an article on Twitter in which Ovetshkin shared his views.
