Dolly Parton covers “Let It Be” with Beatles and more guests – listen here

Dolly Parton has ventured into a Beatles classic. But she didn’t record her version of “Let It Be” alone. Featuring the last two surviving members of the Fab Four, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood, drummers and founders of Fleetwood Mac. The cover song is intended to give a taste of Parton’s new album.

Dolly Parton’s “Rockstar” full of new songs, old songs and many guests

Dolly Parton’s rendition of “Let It Be” is the fourth single from “Rockstar” intended to tease the album. Prior to that, there were other samples from the record with “World on Fire”, “Bygones” (featuring Rob Halford of Judas Priest) and the cover of Heart’s “Magic Man”. Rockstar is the country legend’s 49th studio album and will feature reimagined songs from rock history and all-new material.

Besides McCartney, Starr, Fleetwood and Frampton, who took on “Let It Be” with them, the 30-track “Rockstar” is full of other guest musicians: inside. Featuring Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, Elton John, Blondie’s Debbie Harry, Steve Perry, Sting, Joan Jett, Lizzo, Brandi Carlile and Parton’s goddaughter Miley Cyrus, among others. It looks like Ms. Parton is going to live up to everything she announced about the album back in Spring 2023.

Dolly Parton’s “Rockstar” is out on November 17th. Preorders are here possible.
