People watch it nowadays because it is nice, but no longer for a controversial opinion: RTL Boulevard. Does Victor Vlam change that? “It’s very tame.”
RTL Boulevard was once the feared theater where Albert Verlinde Velde: who did he find good in the showbiz and who isn’t? You looked to hear what he thought of the last Showbizzrel, but in 2025 Luuk Ikink, Rob Goossens and Aran Bade mainly hold obligatory talks that have been approved by the RTL top. Otherwise? Cut!
TAM program
Is there really no worthy successor to Albert? Angela de Jong and Tina Nijkamp are spitting their opinion at the AD and De Telegraaf respectively, but Victor Vlam has not yet been recorded. He has recently appeared more and more in the VI camp; Currently at the Oranjezomer, but also on the main stage: today inside.
Does he not like RTL Boulevard? He tells in the Panorama: “Haha, well, Boulevard is nowadays a tame program. In the past, in the time of Albert Verlinde, it was brutal and had sharp opinions and good scoops. Now it has become the dragonfly of the entertainment programs. It does nothing that can really shock anymore.”
Ramp television
It is cable television, says Victor. “That may still work in terms of viewing figures, still a million people every day – but they have lost their status as the most authoritative entertainment program. That role was previously taken over by Inside, Angela de Jong and Tina Nijkamp today.”
Who does he find the best medianer in the country? “Tina Nijkamp. Absolutely. She comes out of the profession herself, has led SBS 6, everyone knows, has many contacts. That makes her analyzes strong.”
Bravado
The Panorama journalist on duty then hands out a sneer to Rob: “Unlike someone like Rob Goossens, who has actually risen out of nowhere and, especially with a lot of Bravoure, pretends to know the media world.”
Finally, would RTL boss Peter van der Vorst ever allow the right-wing Victor at all? “I don’t know if Peter has a lot of sympathy for me, certainly not now that RTL is sailing a somewhat left -hand course. He also said in an interview that he calls himself on the left. Then someone with my views might fit a little less well.”
