At 1. FC Köln, Marvin Obuz hardly gets a train. A farewell is indicated in summer.
With his playing time at 1. FC Köln, Marvin Obuz is anything but satisfied. This made his consultant clear in an interview with the “Cologne Stadtanzeiger”.
“Of course, after Marvin’s strong season in Essen, we imagined it very differently,” said Dirk Hebel.
Obuz was awarded to Rot-Weiss Essen last season and convinced with eight goals and 17 templates in 40 competitive games.
After his return to the 1st FC Köln, the attacker does not matter. There are only six missions, from the beginning the native of Cologne was never allowed to go.
Consultant Hebel now showed that Obuz will probably leave the Effzeh in summer.
“Marvin is Cologne through and through. It was his big dream to play as a FC professional in Müngersdorf. But it was practically never”, he stood up against the cathedral city club: “If you realize how little time of operation received Marvin and also looks at the big problems of the FC on the offensive, it is very disappointing. The boy has never had a real chance to show what he can do.”
The 52-year-old continued: “At the moment there is still hope that Marvin can have a positive impact on the promotion race. The climbing of the club is up to everything. But everything stays the way it is, then you have to say that it no longer makes any sense. Then Marvin will leave his home club. And that would be disappointing.”
Does the 1st FC Nürnberg use the 1st FC Köln?
In winter, Obuz, whose contract expires at the 1st FC Köln, had already been associated with a move to Rot-Weiss Essen.
According to the “Cologne Stadtanzeiger”, the 1st FC Nürnberg also stretched out the sensors in the past transfer window. However, Obuz is said to have canceled the league competitor.
It is unclear whether the FCN is also interested in an obligation in summer.
Before Obuz, Jonas Urbig (FC Bayern) and Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen) have already left the 1. FC Köln.
