Is there finally more clarity about the murder of American former president John F. Kennedy? Many Americans do not believe that only one person was behind the murder. Released documents can shed new light on the murder file, but Emmenaar Co Patist temperes expectations.

The murder of Kennedy – in short JFK -, which was shot in 1963 during a visit to Dallas, has been causing a variety of theories for decades. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested as a suspect, but before he could be continued he was shot. Perhaps a breakthrough will follow this week, since a stream of secret documents around the murder of Kennedy has been released.

Co Patist from Emmen has been collecting all kinds of JFK items since his childhood. And he is still under the spell of the charismatic former president. Patist does not think that the new information for world news about the murder of Kennedy will take care of. “I am always surprised, but I don’t have high expectations. I think the real documents that can provide clarity will never be published.”

According to Patist, the new documents consist of 63,400 pages. They are published on the site from the National Archives. “Of course I haven’t seen them all, that doesn’t work in a short time,” says Patist. “I am informed by the JFK Assassination Group. The people in that group are only busy with this murder. They are all reading those documents and there is an update on their website every few minutes. Really big news is not there yet.”

And that is no surprise, Patist knows. “Many documents that have now been released by US President Donald Trump were previously released by his predecessor Joe Biden. So we are a bit fucked. And there are a lot of almost illegible documents in between.”

Nevertheless, a letter from an employee of the American intelligence service CIA causes some excitement. “He writes that some CIA colleagues are involved in the murder of Kennedy. Unfortunately, he does not mention Namur. It is new that an agent of the CIA indicates something like that,” said Patist.

On the other side of Ocean, the letter will not strike as a bomb, the Emmenaar expects. “Because a majority of Americans have been thinking for decades that the CIA plays a role in this murder.” Patist also realizes that time is increasingly pressing the murder case in oblivion. “How many people are there who have consciously experienced the Kennedy’s? For all people it is now history.”

“Only for a small group does the murder of Kennedy still play. I am not awake myself, if I am honest,” concludes Patist. “But of course I am interested.”
