The reality series by André Hazes Jr. and Mart Hoogkamer was not a ratio hit, but also not a flop. Yet André does not want to make a second series because of the criticism that has been poured out massively about him, while Mart remained out of shot. The I go swimming singer finds it annoying for André, but he himself is more positive about a second season.

‘Again!’

Mart believes that the recordings with André have not been disappointing. “No, certainly not, I even liked it. I laughed terribly during the recordings. In the corridors I heard that they want a second season, but the conversations have not yet taken place. If it is up to me, I will do it again,” he says in Weekend.

About half a million people watched it. “And sometimes we have very nice outliers of 800,000 viewers. If it can all continue in a positive way and the viewers want more, then we just do it again. André and I are not the most difficult. I can really be myself and forget that camera.”

Four days

Mart does like an SBS 6 career, but then he wants to be free enough. “I keep singing all my life, as I feel now. I really like a career on television, but in combination with four days of paternity at home. I want to be a father for Logan, that’s the most important thing.”

Finally, what does Mart think of the criticism that André and he are a kind of failed Geer and Goor? “People compare two pants with two icons and then say that we have failed in that respect, but that says more about the person than about us. I think: you try to get me down, but that doesn’t work. I really know that I am not a Geer or Goor.”
