Hélène Hendriks is used to being praised incessantly, but now she suddenly receives a critical note from Rob Goossens. What does he think of her studio debut? “Not great.”

The time has come: tonight the Netherlands can witness the debut of Hélène Hendriks as a presenter of major studio entertainment. The biggest female star of SBS 6 and singer Waylon are the figureheads of The Winner Takes It All, which premieres at eight o’clock on John de Mol’s channel. Will she surprise or disappoint us?

Hélène from showtrap

Hélène is not yet receiving RTL Boulevard, because she was treated quite critically during the opening of that program last night. TV critic Rob Goossens is not yet convinced.

Rob discusses in the show section the opening of the new TV year. According to him, the expectations of Hélène’s program are very high. “There are quite a few titles on which quite a bit depends. Of course Hélène Hendriks, who we just met and who will be doing major studio entertainment for the first time with The Winner Takes It All.”

‘Not great’

What is Rob’s preliminary assessment? “I think the channel bosses at SBS 6 were all sitting in the front row wondering: is that something she likes?”

He continues: “I have to say: I have already seen a trailer and I didn’t necessarily think it was a great program, but we have also seen parts of Pandora and I am very curious about that.”

Murder party

Rob is not critical because it is a production of SBS 6. He is enthusiastic about two other new titles from the channel, such as Murder Festival, which starts tomorrow. “We know how it works. I think that is a very good reboot of the old Murder Game, yes, I will definitely sit down for that again.”

It is not entirely coincidental that his TV girlfriend Bridget Maasland participates in this. Rob is also curious about Het Dinner, Raymond Thiry’s presentation debut. That starts in March. “I have already seen parts of that. If that program works well, it could become the next Dutch international hit.”
