Djokovic equated his vaccine story to that of Jannik: but his behavior in Melbourne in 2022 was clumsily fraudulent… A whole different story
There’s something wrong in the tennis sky. Clouds, the most successful athlete ever, Novak Djokovic, calls them: it doesn’t matter if the day is clear, just remembering them covers the light above Jannik Sinner. Djokovic knows this, Djokovic does this. As happens with ghosts which ultimately only exist if you believe in them, they only scare if you shake them: the ghost is a theory without solid ground, a cloud, in fact. To “justify” the need (not at all necessary) to return to the topic – albeit responding to an interview in a podcast – Djokovic includes himself in this torment, “the doping issue is a cloud that will follow Sinner, just as the Covid cloud will follow me”. There are other passages to point out but in an orderly manner and with the suspicion that the sporting rivalry, decidedly and irremediably tilted towards the youngest, has an unspoken part in these out-of-time utterances. And so, let’s proceed.
