In the third grand slam tennis tournament of the season, Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic in men’s singles and Ons Jabeur in women’s singles made their names in the quarter-finals.


The 7th day of the tournament held in London, the capital city of England, came to an end.


Djokovic, who is in the first step of the world rankings in men’s singles, defeated world 104 Dutchman Tim van Rijthoven 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 and 6-2 3-1 to reach the quarter-finals. The Serbian tennis player will face the 10th seeded Italian Jannik Sinner in this round.


In women’s singles, world number 2 Tunisian Jabeur, one of the fit tennis players of the season, beat 24 seeded Belgian Elise Mertens 2-0 after 7-6 and 6-4 sets and matched with Czech Marie Bouzkova in the quarterfinals.
