A strategic plan is central under the name for the next five years REO 2.0that was drawn up together with producers and the board. “We want to prepare REO for a rapidly changing world, with a clear mission, vision and five core values,” explains Declercq.
Reo today represents around 750 active producers, a halving compared to fifteen years ago. Yet the supply volume remains stable. “The strength of REO is in the wide range: from classical to bio, from forgotten vegetables to culinary specialties. It is important that every grower continues to recognize in our operation,” concludes Declercq.
