Diksmuide warns residents about starting trajectory control

The discussion about section controls in Diksmuide has been going on for years, but all section controls have been put into operation from today. This is because the Regional Processing Center (GVC) can now process more fines. Until now, the maximum fines they could handle was 17,500 per year, which they already achieved with only police checks and speed cameras. As of today, that capacity will be increased and so the section controls can begin.

Warning signs

The police and the city itself do not want a witch hunt for road users and that is why they have placed large warning signs along the road announcing the start of a speed check.
