National player Nicole Anyomi will be out for the rest of the season at Eintracht Frankfurt with a thigh injury. This comes at a very bad time for the people of Hesse.
Eintracht Frankfurt will have to do without Nicole Anyomi in the crucial games of the season. The attacker sustained an injury to her right hamstring in the 4-1 win against 1. FC Nürnberg and is out for the remaining two league games.
The 26-year-old had to leave the game after 76 minutes. As the Hessians announced on Thursday, their season is now over. Frankfurt is currently in third place – five points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen in the race for Champions League qualification. With 13 goals after 23 games, she is fourth among the top scorers.
It is still unclear whether Anyomi will also miss the German national team’s World Cup qualifiers. The DFB team will face Norway on June 5th and Slovenia on June 9th.
