Students Adidas presented a new DFB away jersey for the women’s European Championship in the coming summer. This is what it looks like.

Brightly pink follows bright red: The German national women’s team will in future appear in a red away jersey. On Monday, the German Football Bund (DFB) and Adidas officially presented the new jersey for the women’s European Championship in the coming summer.

The jersey comes in various bright red and pink tones with some striking lines. The coat of arms and the logo of the sponsor Adidas are located in yellow as well as a “Germany” lettering on the back.

“The away jersey of the German national women’s national team celebrates the rich road art scene of the country,” writes the DFB to justify the design. “Markant lines in various red and pink tones were applied in modern graffiti style and stand for the lively wall paintings in the heart of German cities.”

The new Jersey seems to be well received by the players. At least the DFB press release quotes Jule Brand: “I like the new away jersey very much. It is modern and unusual with the different red and pink tones. We look forward to playing it in the upcoming Nation League and above all at the To wear em in Switzerland in summer. “

The European Championship will take place from July 2nd to July 27th. If you want to cheer on the German team in the new jersey, you have to pay 100 euros. If you want the “authentic version”, which is also worn by the players themselves, you even have to put 150 euros on the table. For the first time, the jersey will be used on February 25 at the international match against Austria in Nuremberg.

Incidentally, Adidas already gave a foretaste of the jersey as part of the Berlin Fashion Week in early February. There, influencer Caro Daur already carried the new design as part of her outfit.
