Sensitive punishment for Hannover 96: The DFB suspects the misconduct of the fans. The club is expensive.

The German Football Association (DFB) asks Hannover 96 to the cash register: Because of the misconduct of their own fans, the Lower Saxony must pay a sensitive punishment of 198,400 euros. The Sum of DFB said that the sum refers to three fines due to four cases of unsportsmanlike behavior of the supporters.

Accordingly, the highest individual penalty from incidents around the second division game against SC Paderborn on February 22, 2025 results. 82,200 euros alone are due. At the time, the fans of the second division club had ignited at least 90 pyrotechnic objects. The club can use up to 66,100 euros of the total of security or violence prevention measures.
