When and how is the draw?

- Arminia Bielefeld – Werder Bremen (February 25, 8:45 p.m., live on ZDF)

The team, which was pulled first, basically has home rights. Exception: If Arminia Bielefeld reaches the semi -finals, the team will definitely have home rights as a third division team. Otherwise there are no restrictions.

What can the clubs take?
All participating clubs therefore receive at least 209,453 euros for the 1st main round. Those who have survived the 1st round will get more than 400,000 euros in the 2nd round, the amounts per round increase. So there are almost 14 million euros for the tournament winner.
In the case of income from admission ticket sales and gang advertising, the clubs have to share the money after deducting all costs and taxes. Ten percent of these income also goes to the DFB, so each club receives 45 percent of this money.

What can the clubs also achieve?
The winner of the DFB Cup also has a starting right in the new league of Europe according to the European Cup reform of the UEFA, which has been in effect since the 2024/25 season League.
The DFB Cup winner is already through the Bundesliga for the Champions League Or the Europe League Qualified, the place goes to the Bundesliga, where it is then distributed according to the final table. The inferior finalist of the DFB Cup final can never benefit.
