DFB captain reveals her tattoo secret

The DFB-Elf starts the women’s European Championship on Friday. Previously, captain Giulia Gwinn spoke – and told something very personal.
At the Wednesday European Championships in Switzerland, Giulia Gwinn will lead the German team onto the field as a team captain. A great honor, as she just said: “As a little girl, I started playing football, loving football. Now being a captain in front of a big tournament is difficult to put it into words.”
In the “Phrasenmäher” podcast, another secret revealed himself before the European Championship start. Namely how it came to your tattoo – and what background it has.
Gwinn’s fun explanation: “This was created with a hen party, maybe not quite sober.” The bride wore a hat with the lettering ‘Tutto Bene’, “everyone who was there then had the words tattooed,” said Gwinn.
“As a maid of honor, of course, I had to go through that. For me, ‘Tutto Bene’ is on the Achilles tendon.”
