A taxi ended up on the wrong side of the road on the Wolfsputterbaan (N279) in Helmond on Monday morning and collided with another car. Both drivers were taken to hospital. It is not known how they are doing.
The impact was so hard that both cars were completely crushed at the front. It is still unclear what caused the taxi driver to end up on the other side of the road.
The cars have been towed away and the road is being cleaned. The N279 is therefore temporarily closed in both directions.
