Four cars in the Louis Pasteurstraat in Haarlem went up in flames this evening. Shortly afterwards there was another hit in the PC Boutensstraat, where a car was on fire.

Emergency services received a report about the fire in the Schalkwijk district of Haarlem just after 9 p.m.

There was little left of the cars after the fire.

Half an hour later, the fire brigade had to go to PC Boutensstraat, where a car was on fire. This time too the damage was enormous.

It is not yet known how the fires started and whether there were any injuries.

Hit again

It has happened more often in Haarlem lately. Earlier this month, the fire brigade responded to a series of car fires.

On the night of Monday 15 to Tuesday 16 December, a car fire raged in Regulierstraat in Haarlem-Noord.

That same Tuesday evening, a passenger car completely burned out in Waddenstraat and a passenger car and a van caught fire on Brammershoop.
