“We see a shift in the immediate vicinity, but as a police we also actively act when it comes to the violation of nuisance behavior.” City chairman Carolien de Heer also sees the problem shifting: “This is not only due to the area bans, but also through more intensive enforcement and the placement of a camera. The waterbed effect remains a point of attention. At the same time, that displacement also provides visibility and information about the group of nuisance lenders. We also see more often that the group falls apart and becomes smaller.”
A first way
According to the district, it cannot be said that the use of the user bus is the reason for the area bans. “The user bus helps us to reach people who stayed out of the picture earlier. There is a great need for this form of accessible help. Spraying is collected daily and people are referred to care and/or daytime activities.”
Both the Regenboog Group and the police and the municipality emphasize the importance of the collaborations between all parties. The police: “That is a very complex issue that we are not only about as a police.”
Ultimately, the search for customization is that the problems can solve. According to the parties, the GGD, GGZ, addiction help and other care providers are also important. The district chairman: “In the long term, a daycare in East is essential. Then we can make an even bigger difference for the people who are involved and for the neighborhood.”
The test with the user bus is evaluated bi -monthly and runs at least until the end of 2025.
