While the Netherlands seems to be under the spell of the winter weather and the approaching possibility of skating on natural ice, FC Emmen is fleeing to a warmer place. The training camp in Estepona, a relatively quiet seaside resort on the southern Spanish coast, an hour’s drive from Málaga, must prepare the team of trainer Dick Lukkien for the start of the second half of the season. A half of the season in which the current number sixteen of the Eredivisie must avoid relegation. In that respect, there is plenty of work to be done on the Costa del Sol.
