Depeche Mode in Germany: Increased security measures

Today (February 13, 2024) the German leg of Depeche Mode’s indoor tour begins. Martin Gore, Dave Gahan and colleagues perform at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin to present songs from their MEMENTO MORI album and their hits.

These are the dates: February 13th, February 15th and February 20th, Berlin (Mercedes-Benz Arena); 02/17 Hamburg (Barclays Arena), March 7th Munich (Olympic Hall); 03.04., 05.04. and 08.04. Cologne (tour final, Lanxess Arena).

In order to protect concert goers as best as possible from danger, additional security measures are required at all concerts in addition to the general regulations. As the organizer Live Nation announced, open-air events and events in arenas or halls in particular are subject to stricter controls without exception.

All visitors are subjected to body checks. Bags, umbrellas and backpacks as well as helmets and containers of all kinds are generally prohibited. Spectators are expressly asked not to bring them with them and to only keep essential items such as cell phones, key rings and wallets as well as medications or cosmetics (no deodorant, perfume or hair sprays) in belt bags or handbags up to a maximum size of DIN A4 to limit.

Compliance with these rules and instructions as well as arriving on time will help to organize entry as quickly as possible.

Prohibited are:
• Professional cameras, audio or video recorders
• GoPros, tablet PCs, selfie sticks
• Fireworks, laser pointers, gas horns
• Weapons, knives, sprays
• Umbrellas, flagpoles
• Bottles, cans
• Food in packaging
• Backpacks, suitcases, bags (only bags up to DIN A4 are permitted)
• Studded belts, chains, chains on wallets
• Inline skates, roller skates, skateboards
• Bicycles, strollers
• Helmets
• Animals
