have Depeche Mode set up a countdown on their website, which ends at 6 p.m. on February 3. Below is a contact form. There are no indications as to what the time display stands for – relatively it is related to the album MEMENTO MORI announced by Depeche Mode, because the URL also refers to it. Perhaps the pre-single “Ghosts Again” will be announced. “A premiere of the music video is considered likely,” writes the German fan page depechemode.de about the mysterious countdown.
Also interesting: All previous posts on the synth-pop band’s Instagram account have been deleted. It looks like there’s going to be a big announcement coming up that will make room for it.
“Ghosts Again” has been causing a stir for some time – excerpts of the remix by British DJ duo CamelPhat recently surfaced on the internet. For a short time longer passages were available on YouTube. CamelPhat previously played the mix live at a Toronto festival, where viewers filmed and shared the song.
Dave Gahan and Martin Gore already presented an excerpt of the title at a press conference in October 2022. It has not yet been officially confirmed whether the song will actually be called “Ghosts Again”. A tracklist of MEMENTO MORI has not yet been published.
