Departure of AZ strongholders Reijnders and Kerkez seems inevitable

Nothing seems to stand in the way of a transfer from Tijjani Reijnders to AC Milan. The 24-year-old midfielder landed in Milan on Monday evening and will undergo a medical on Tuesday. Reportedly, a five-year contract is ready for Reijnders.

Reijnders was already missing on Saturday afternoon at the practice match against Lech Poznan (4-0). He was given the space by AZ to complete his dream transfer to AC Milan. According to various media, the midfielder would earn around twenty million euros. This would make him one of the most expensive outgoing transfers ever. Vincent Janssen (22 million to Tottenham Hotspur) in 2016 still leads that ranking.

Milos Kerkez also seems to have played his last game for AZ. The 19-year-old left back is in interest from Bournemouth and could sign a multi-year contract with the Premier League club. According to various media, nothing stands in the way of a transfer from Kerkez to Bournemouth.

The Hungarian made the reverse switch from Reijnders at the beginning of last year; from AC Milan to AZ. After the departure of Owen Wijndal to Ajax, Kerkez made his breakthrough with the Alkmaarders. Kerkez was previously in the interest of Lazio, at Bournemouth he can become a teammate of Justin Kluivert. Kerkez reportedly earns 18 million euros, including bonuses. Sam Beukema left for Bologna earlier this summer.
