The Den Uyl bridge in Zaandam is closed in both directions due to a possible explosion in a car. The driver of the car was injured.
It is still unclear what exactly happened on the bridge. Around a quarter past eight tonight, the driver of a car with a Moldovan license plate was injured after an explosion or fire in his car.
The driver was rushed to hospital and the bridge was closed. The fire brigade and Advisor on Hazardous Substances are investigating.
