“During a session in Brussels, the Bas (Belgian Arbitragehof for the sport) decided that our club still meets the granted licensees,” says Geert Buurman in a press release.
The Secretary of the Helderse Club says that he greatly appreciates the joint efforts within the club. “The past period has been both hectic and very instructive.”
Team composition
Now that the license for Den Helder Suns is in and the club is active again in the Belgian-Dutch basketball competition, the association from the Noordkop can deal with the team composition.
“With the first step, the aim is to come to a contract extension with the Belgian head coach Paul Vervaeck as soon as possible,” says Buurman. “After the successful 2024-2025 season, there is the realistic ambition to take further steps and not just a sporting step.”
