Hundreds of demonstrators are present on Dam Square for a demonstration against Prime Minister Rutte’s cabinet and the policy pursued in the Netherlands.
The demonstration is organized by Michel Reijinga, of Together for the Netherlands. Reijinga organized more frequent demonstrations under the name Nederland in Verzet last year, against, for example, the corona measures. Many inverted Dutch flags are present on Dam Square, the symbol of the farmers’ protest. The protesters express their dissatisfaction with immigration, nitrogen policy and many other issues
The demonstration started at 12:00 on Dam Square. Gideon van Meijeren of Forum for Democracy, Wybren van Haga van Belang of the Netherlands and Willem Engel of Virus Truth will speak there. After that, the protesters walk through the city for about two hours.
