The Grand Bazar opened its doors in 1967, it was not only the largest but also the most prestigious department store in Roeselare. With the demolition, a piece of history disappears. The GB itself closed its doors in 1989. The days of super-sized department stores were over and the new traffic circulation plan brought down sales.
