Fasbra SE, a holding company of the Deichmann Group, has secured a majority stake in Supremo Shoes + Boots GmbH.

At the request of FashionUnited, a Deichmann spokeswoman confirmed that the shoe manufacturer from Pirmasens in Rhineland-Palatinate had changed hands after a partner withdrew for reasons of age. Accordingly, 51 percent of the company shares go to Fasbra. However, the approval of the antitrust authorities is still pending.

Even after the takeover, Supremo will continue to operate independently under the previous management, according to Essen. The company, founded in 1997 by Walter Weichhart and his son Walter Johann, is currently managed by Managing Director Christoph Gessner. In addition to selling its own brand of the same name, Supremo has also been active as a licensee in the Tom Tailor and Tom Tailor Denim brand shoes since 2013.
